CGG301 - TRAVEL AND TOURISM Culminating Task: Planning the Vacation of Your Lifetime Instructions: We have studied different regions and countries and have discussed many different aspects of those regions such as the climate, the physical landscape, economics, and history.
Your task now is to plan an ideal vacation trip to a foreign country or region outside of Canada. The trip shall consist of a minimum of 7 days of travel among various regions within the chosen vacation area. You have an unlimited budget for your trip so be sure not to leave anything out - you will want to see as much as possible.
Part of your task is to also provide a ‘cost breakdown’ of your trip - that is you must find out how much everything on your trip will cost and provide a budget.
You will be spending next 2 weeks working on this assignment so it is crucial that you pick a destination that is interesting and important to you.
The body of the report should be around 4-6 pages in length. The final copy of the report should include:
1. Cover page 2. Table of Contents 3. Introduction stating where you are going and why 4. Body: with subsections including:- location of your region/area(s) a) climate of the area(s) b) physical landscape(s) c) history of the area(s) d) economy of the area(s) e) culture of the area(s) (languages, traditions, etc) 5. Your trip: day by day plan - where will you go, what will you see, what will you do? 6. Your budget: include all costs - flight, hotels, food, sightseeing, souvenirs, etc. 7. Pictures and map(s) of your region (if applicable) 8. Bibliography *Rubric (as last page)
Remember, this is your culminating task for this course. It is worth 20% of your final evaluation. Plagiarism will not be tolerated - the information you gather must be your own original work and any reference you use must be properly documented within your work.
